Translation from voicemail: Hello, Team 3belowzero, Day 36. Well, I’m sitting here melting snow for dinner. And the good news is we just replaced yesterday, the fuel pump. And now the stove is running so efficiently, making our cooking time much shorter. So that’s (unintelligible) here.
So when Antarctica isn’t trying to break you with high wind storms or white out conditions or relentless sastrugi, It is actually quite a beautiful place. And I was reminded of that today. If you guys sent positive weather vibes, the weather gods were listening. Because we actually had sunny weather today and light to medium winds. I can’t really remember the last time we had that. So that was so delightful to have today. And we were just really excited to be able to cover fourteen miles today because conditions were a little nicer weather wise.
We did see three small planes fly overhead that we’re going to and from the South Pole. And it was really the first civilized sound to pierce our little wild adventure here. A few weeks ago we might have been bothered by that sound but today it really made us quite excited. Because it represented where we’re gonna be soon, at the South Pole. So our spirits were lifted a lot today and we were excited by that.
And other news, my cold injury on my chin has scabbed over so it looks like it’s getting a little better. And we do, we did take count of our paper towels that we use for toilet paper and we have one and a half each per day left. So hopefully that should cover us. Cover Marty hopefully, you know he uses a lot of that stuff.
Okay, so, I wanted to just welcome all the kids back who are following us to school today. Today I think is your first day back after break, and we’re excited to have you continue to follow us until the end. Okay, over and out for today. Thanks, bye.

When it is clear like that… how far can you see? Will you see your destination a day or so before you can get to it?
